Fergus Falls Winter Family Session

When you are planning a session in November, it can mean many different weather options. We lucked out with beautiful weather on the afternoon of their Fergus Falls Winter Family Session. After discussing different locations we chose a row of evergreen trees. If there was snow on them it would looks so pretty, but without it also created a wonderful backdrop.

When choosing what to wear for a Fergus Falls Winter Family Session, you know that the background is going to be slightly darker than if you had yellow and red leaves. Picking outfits that are light in color makes you stand out against the evergreen trees. Their family looked spectacular wearing plaid, and light pinks making their photos really pop.

Originally, we were planning on just having the evergreen trees as a backdrop. On our way back to our vehicles, there was a blue building I had walked by; but the sun would have been right in their eyes. However, the sun was behind the building on our way back and I asked if they would like to use it for a few more family photos. I am so glad they said yes! This added a great mix to their gallery, and the bubbles really stood out against the blue backdrop. Also…BUBBLES!! Playing with bubbles during the session was SO fun! The kids had an amazing time and playing with the bubbles inside the evergreen trees and against the blue building. It’s on way to make your photos stand out and be different.

Check out some of my favorites from their gallery. It was so hard to choose! There were so many in the different locations. Their two kiddos were fantastic playing together, taking photos together and blowing the best bubbles!
